1998

The Moto XXX Era

Jay Schweitzer joins Kurt Haller to produce Moto XXX 3–6 and the punk rock music DVD Eargasm. Run-and-gun VHS culture, standing at the base of unknown ramp hits in the dark.

2001

Ride to the Hills

Jay creates the first-ever organized natural terrain FMX competition. The event pioneered everything modern freeride contests like Red Bull Imagination would later become.

2003

On The Pipe 1 / Crush

Jay teams with Mike McEntire (Mack Dawg) to create On The Pipe. Transworld Motocross Magazine taps Jay to produce Crush — their first-ever motocross film.

2004

Powerband Films Founded

Powerband Films is officially incorporated. On The Pipe 2: Still Smokin' drops, proving the franchise has legs.

2006

OTP 3 / IFC Feature

Another Hit solidifies OTP as the most important freeride franchise. The Independent Film Channel (IFC) profiles Jay as a pioneer of indie action sports cinema.

2007

OTP 4: Another Score

The golden era. Another Score becomes the best-selling freeride motocross film in history. Riders drop into 200ft canyons. Helicopters track Mike Metzger across Ocotillo Wells.

2009

OTP 5: Still Alive

Dedicated to the memory of Jeremy Lusk (1986–2009). Still Alive captures freeride's late 2000s era — backcountry sessions, hill climbs, and a devastating loss.

2011

OTP 6: Pack It Up

The franchise goes global — Australia, Spain, France. Powerband adopts RED cinema cameras and Phantom Flex high-speed systems. The technology matches the ambition.

2015

OTP 7: The Last Hit

The final chapter. Shot on RED Weapon 8K with Freefly drones. The Last Hit closes the era that redefined how the world sees freeride.

2017

Hollywood Crossover

Powerband films Jay Leno's Garage, Red Bull Terrafirma with Ken Roczen, and BJ Baldwin's Recoil 4 in Cuba (14M+ views).

2023

GNARNIA

The ultimate freeride odyssey. 10-time X Games medalist Colby Raha leads 15 riders. A tribute to Alex Harvill and Tanner Chadwick. Now streaming on Apple TV.
